Become an Accelerator Mentor

Agora is recruiting experienced professionals to mentor Agora’s incoming class of impact entrepreneurs. Mentor relationships are a critical component of Agora’s goal of developing investment-ready growth stage entrepreneurs, and we are looking to get the most committed, actively engaged mentors on board.

Why participate in the mentor program?

What’s in it for you?  Being an Accelerator mentor gives you the opportunity to:

  • Contribute your experience and network to projects that create financial, social, and environmental value
  • Catalyze a new generation of socially and environmentally conscious business leaders
  • Gain access to a network of visionary, high-growth entrepreneurs, professionals, and industry leaders
  • Build your organization’s brand through your association with the program and attendance at events
  • Participate in a world-wide movement to make business a force for social good
  • Help accelerate economic growth in Central America

What do mentors do?

All mentors commit to ensuring the success and sustainability of the entrepreneurs in our program. There are three potential engagement options based on interest, service preference, and time commitment:

  • One-on-One: Coach a specific entrepreneur with a focus on soft-skills such as leadership, team building, vision, professional networking (including providing access to your network), etc.
  • Committee Member: Sit on a subject committee (legal, finance, etc.) to provide specific technical advice and guidance.
  • Network Member: Respond to ad-hoc requests for advice on an as-needed/as-available basis.

Mentors are expected to have a minimum of three years of business ownership experience or five years of professional experience. For more information on the program please see the Mentor Program Details.
