The Agora Fellowship places passionate and talented individuals in our Central American offices. Fellows strategically support our local team and help design and execute Agora’s initiatives in order to strengthen the role of entrepreneurship in sustainable development.
As an Agora Fellow, individuals will be exposed first-hand to development work and be given unprecedented opportunity to create tangible and measurable impact. From attending conferences and working in the field with entrepreneurs, to blogging and designing new programs, Agora Fellows work where innovation meets development.
The program aims at providing the Fellow with a deeper understanding of Agora’s role in bringing innovation to Central America’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Fellows are treated as team members and find a strong sense of community, both in and outside of the office.
At the end of the program, Fellows leave Agora with a long-term commitment to the organization’s mission and to supporting impact investment and entrepreneurship models of development. Upon completion, Fellows join an incredible circle of Agora alumni who continue to make a positive impact on the world.
The program is looking for candidates who are passionate about helping small businesses in emerging countries succeed and in establishing personal and professional relationships with developing world entrepreneurs. We are looking for an outstanding and highly selective group of individuals with excellent business and interpersonal skills, humility, curiosity, and a deep desire to face and solve developing world business challenges. Spanish fluency is required, as are high ethics and low ego.
