- “It behooves every man to remember that the work of the critic is of altogether secondary importance, and that, in the end, progress is accomplished by the man (and woman) who does things.” -- Teddy Roosevelt
Agora Partnerships, with support from Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) Capacity Development Fund, helped design and execute the first annual ANDE Latin America Conference, a comprehensive three-day awareness-building and educational gathering to build the movement for small and growing businesses. The conference, held in Granada, Nicaragua, aimed to train ANDE members’ local staff, deepen collaboration among players in the development field, highlight regional impact, broadcast new initiatives, and drive investments into the region.
The conference represented the official launch of ANDE in Latin America, one of the highest potential regions for entrepreneurship. - Randall Kempner, ANDE Executive Director
A special thanks to ANDE’s extraordinary staff, to co-sponsors Root Capital and TechnoServe, the funders of the ANDE Capacity Development Grant, and the Kellogg Foundation, whose support made the conference possible.
