Isabel Whelchel


Isabel is a Junior in high school at Asheville School in North Carolina who believes that women and girls have the capacity to change the world for the better.

Isabel became interested in  Agora Partnerships in 2011 when traveling to Nicaragua, where she met an Agora Accelerator alumna Aída Mayora, founder of Oscarito’s Textiles. Through Mayora’s participation in the Accelerator, she was able to grow her company from one sewing machine to 50. These 50 women are now able to support their communities, families, and daughters. Isabel also met 25 displaced Nicaraguan girls and decided that the best way to help these girls, and countless others across the country, was to empower women entrepreneurs like Aída, driving their success and enabling them to employ more women. 

As a Youth Ambassador for Agora Partnerships, Isabel has committed to raise 25K to support more women entrepreneurs.  Donate to support her campaign below:
